Shedders big day out

On Tuesday the 24th September we had the Big Day Out….a yearly event uniting the Men’s Sheds of Australia. Our area gathering was hosted by the Safety Beach/Dromana shed. 

For the uninitiated, it’s like one of those “rave” parties, but with drugs of the prescriptive type. 

We had 11 sheds from the peninsula participating..Federal Cabinet Minister and our local member Greg Hunt opened and participated in the event. 
 

A feature of the day was a performance by the Australian Welsh Men’s Choir…who sang a number of man-related tunes, finishing with “Nothing like a dame  from the movie South Pacific. Great exhibits, highly informative and most entertaining.
